SERVICES

In keeping with our purpose statement to “improve our community with every design,” our goal is to provide exceptional client services, deliver a product of enduring value, and create spaces that enhance the quality of life for individuals and our community.

To accomplish this goal, Archibald & Company offers a full range of services and coordination of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines throughout the project.

Whether you’re looking for an architect, just need some architectural advice, or want to learn how an architect can work with you to accomplish your goals, Archibald & Company is here, ready to help. We offer a no-cost initial consultation to discuss how we might help you make your dreams a reality.

The first step is to sit down with Archibald & Company to discuss and understand your goals, identify your functional needs, and define your budget. From there we evaluate and plan the project. This process can include feasibility studies, master planning, programming, as-built record drawings, and code evaluation.

The objective of schematic design is to arrive at a clearly-defined project program and conceptual design. 3D renderings and schematic floor plans can help you in visualizing the project, and a preliminary construction cost estimate will ensure that the schematic design is on target with your budget.

Design development takes documents produced during the schematic design phase to the next level. Drawings will be developed in more detail to include design elements such as material types and finishes, site plan, floor plans, sections and elevations. The rendering will be updated to reflect how the project will look when constructed.

Approved design development documents provide the foundation for construction documents. These will include drawings and specifications required to obtain a building permit and construct the project.

If you have not already selected a general contractor, Archibald & Company will assist you in establishing a list of prospective bidders.  We provide bidding documents such as advertisement for bids, instructions to bidders, and bid form; conduct a pre-bid conference to respond to bidders’ questions and provide clarifications; and assist you in evaluating bids received and awarding the contract.  The final task of the bidding phase is to execute the contract for construction between you and your contractor.

The focus of Archibald & Company during this phase is to ensure that the final product is constructed as designed.  We will conduct periodic site visits, respond to the contractor’s requests for information, and review and approve shop drawing submittals and the contractor’s requests for payment.

When construction is complete, Archibald & Company will visit the site to determine whether it is substantially complete and perform a punch-list review.  The punch list consists of items that require further attention from the contractor before final completion is attained.  Archibald & Company will assist you with all documentation required to close out the project and allow you to move into your newly-completed facility.
