This new dental office building for Dentistry for Kids fulfilled the client’s vision of making it a fun and inviting place for children through vivid colors and a tropical beach theme. The building’s exterior design reflects the client’s slogan, “Ride the Wave to a Happier Smile.” It showcases vibrant exterior finishes achieved through a bright stucco finish, a variety of colored glass, and a blue wave roof over the waiting and reception area.
The interior floor plan is designed as a surf board shape with exam rooms around the perimeter and offices, lab and x-ray in the interior. The large waiting area has a tiki reception desk with a surfboard that serves as the client counter. Connected to the waiting area is a tropical tree house with palm trees, tiki umbrella and a slide. The acoustical ceiling imitates blue sky and clouds throughout the building.
